MORE: - (Text from RawStory EDITED by DTRI for accuracy) -- Former President Barack Obama was [reportedly] 'livid' over President Donald Trump's accusation he illegally wiretapped Trump Tower during the 2016 campaign, the Wall Street Journal declares.
"Obama had decided he would't respond to every provocative Trump tweet," an Obama aide reportedly said. "But he was livid over the charge that he bugged the RNC and Trump offices," sources familiar with Obama's thinking reportedly told the Journal. According to the story, he feels Trump's charge calls into question the credibility of Obama himself.
"A cardinal rule of the Obama Administration was that no White House official ever interfered with any independent investigation led by the Department of Justice," Lewis said. "As part of that practice, neither President Obama nor any White House official ever ordered surveillance on any U.S. citizen. Any suggestion otherwise is simply false."
