Hi and good wishes.... THIS IS A PRIVATE NOTE TO YOU.... it has not been posted as an item on our site's news-tabs....----- We want to comment, its hardly just FoxNewsChannel 'tainting' that the public should be wary of. The biggest and worst illusion of "news" is Associated Press.... the literal "bible" for media news across the USA. For all too long it has even viewed by most in the mainstream news business as a credible, highly professional organization--- but it has constantly descended in recent decades to be a monster of "fuzzy journalism".
Basically, today its nothing but a propaganda syndicator for "spokespeople" from agencies or 'authorities' of any sort-- local, state or national. Associated Press ALMOST NEVER DOES INDEPENDENT digging, never checks anything on their own. And thus they are passing out disinfo and wrong info all the time.... But they are accepted at face value because, after all...."They are AP"...(as if that were something as sacrosanct).
Between you and us (for now--- we will release it publicly ourselves as a full feature piece soon but you can use the core info now because its timely)...Between you and us we disclose ---We've been doing a feature investigative project on AP and the results are horrifying. Not only do they do almost nothing but quote SPOKESPEOPLE (who are often spinning or outright lying)... But when AP are confronted on errors..they "flip off" the concerned journalist, and take no criticism. YOU CAN CHECK THIS OUT.
Last week a seasoned journalist friend of ours named Michael Edwards called Gary Pruitt's office at AP and indicated that ....he had SEVERAL TIMES in recent months.... phoned the AP national desk to tell them a major national story [in progress] was wrong in AP dispatches; the 'facts' being reported by AP were significantly in error. IN EVERY CASE, the editor just flipped him off and hung up.
After telling this to Christine at Gary's office he was routed to KATHLEEN CARROLL, the VP in charge of news content. He explained his reasons for concern and offered to come into AP's hq office and meet with her and Gary... and go over -point by point- the specific stories and exact criticisms. She flatly refused to take the meeting. YOU CAN CALL HER OR HAVE YOUR STAFF CALL HER and ask her--- Did journalist Michael Edwards speak to her last week and offer to come in?.... And did she not reject the offer and flip him off? [Michael said he was not going to waste his time giving her the info on the phone so she could back edit her story files...He would only come in and do the meeting in person, for obvious logical reasons. She flipped him right off in a feisty and rude manner. Said if he wouldn't tell her all, right on the phone right then, she was going to end the conversation.... You can also verify with Christine at Gary's office - that Christine did handle the contact - and route Michael Edwards to Ms. Carroll].
AP is a nightmare of misinformation constantly ...that poses as some "integrity driven" - non profit "industry trade group". At the same time, note this.... when Gary Pruitt the current honcho, moved to NYC recently, he plunked down $4.3 million dollars for a swank 3 bedroom Manhattan residence. So obviously, the AP "non profit" humble execs.... are -somehow- miraculously- avoiding the food stamp lifestyle.
AP is a tacit monopoly and over 90% of all "national and world news" in mainstream mass media comes "rip and read" right off AP. But hey.....who's scrutinizing t-h-e-m, to see if they SHOULD be so widely assumed as... "reliable?".......... Actually..........No one.
