FLAILING WHILE THE CLOCK WORKS AGAINST HIM
What you often see when an entity has "jumped the shark" is flailing. Useless desperate flailing. Vain attempts to get back on track. Which almost always fall flat. Trump's nonsense speech, his bushel basket of lies, was a waste of time, and the networks should have insisted he convey to them the gist of the speech before they decided to grant him airtime. It was a bunch of hot air filled with lies and chemtrails (air dangerous to inhale).
